Dr. Nina O'Connell graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Forsyth in Boston, MA in 1986. She went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Northeastern University in 1989. In 1990, Dr. O'Connell was in Ancona, Italy, overseeing the implementation of a dental hygiene program she designed. Returning to the United States, Dr. O'Connell continued her education, earning her doctorate in dentistry in 1999 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Her residency was completed at the East Orange Veterans Hospital in New Jersey.
As a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the New Jersey Dental Association, Dr. O'Connell is currently expanding her knowledge through continuing education at the Las Vegas Institute, where she is studying Neuromuscular Dentistry.
In her free time, Dr. O'Connell volunteers for the Westfield Public School System, educating young students on dental health and oral hygiene. She and her husband Chris have three daughters.
