Dr. Thomas Streko - Dentist in Westfield Dr. Thomas Streko has been serving the Westfield, New Jersey community with premier dental care for over 30 years. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Rutgers University. In 1978 he completed his D.M.D from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Streko also completed a three-year residency in the U.S. Public Health Service at the National Institute of Health.

Dr. Streko is an accredited member of the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), and he is a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute (LVI). In order to become an accredited member of the AACD he had to complete more than 200 hours of continuing education in cosmetic dentistry. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Streko completes more than 100 hours of continuing education each year, and he has become a Preferred Invisalign Provider. He is committed to bringing state-of-the-art technology to his Westfield patients. Dr. Streko also teaches at Overlook Hospital in Union County, NJ. He is the program coordinator for the New Jersey division of Give Back a Smile. This program is sponsored by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In association with Give Back a Smile, Dr. Streko provides free dental treatment to battered women.

In his free time, Dr. Streko enjoys spending time with his wife of 25 years, their 3 children, and 3 grandchildren. He is also an avid boater—one of his favorite boating spots is the coastal area of Barnegat Bay.

Meet Dr. O'Connell

Dr. Nina O’Connell DMD received her dental hygiene degree in 1986 from Forsyth, Boston MA and her Bachelors degree in Education in 1989 from Northeastern University, Boston, MA. Dr. O’Connell designed and pioneered a dental hygiene program in Ancona, Italy in 1990. She has also lectured extensively at New York University, and in Italy while a clinical professor at New York University. Once back in the United States, Dr. O’Connell received her doctorate in dentistry at UMDNJ in 1999 and completed her residency at the East Orange Veterans Hospital, East Orange, NJ in 2000. Dr. O’Connell is currently enrolled at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Neuromuscular Dentistry, Las Vegas, NV. She is a member of the AACD, AGD, and the NJDA.

Dr. O’Connell enjoys volunteering her time in the Westfield Public School system educating elementary school students on the importance of good dental health. She resides in Westfield,New Jersey with her husband Chris, and her three daughters.
